Choose any interesting print advertisement and analyse it in detail about the tools and language used.

There are two assignments given based on the movie. Choose any one from the first question and respond in the blog. Choose any one from the second and submit it on 5th October. 1. How was the 'Exam'?

Write a short review of the movie Exam?  What is the theme of the movie? What aspect of the movie did you like? Is there any learning about the human psyche from the movie? Give your views on these aspects. Those who did not see the movie, can still check it out online and write.

The color, the visuals and fonts used, convey a message in addition to the verbal message given in the ad. Deconstructing media message Now look at the advertisement posted here: Try to answer the ten questions given in the last part of the article given above: if you would like to choose a different ad, you can try doing so. Dear Students!  Welcome to the blog for English through Media class! This blog will be used mainly for practicing our writing skills. Every week there will be a post on Monday morning. You have to read and respond by that week. (Sunday midnight 12 p.m). As this is the first post, you will have time till 20th July. After 20th we will have weekly posts. You have to read the post and answer the question in the comment section. Those who have blogged earlier would know the method of commenting.  For other students: Please click on the given link. it will open to the blog page. The first post will be in the home page. There will be a section called 'Comments'. Click on it and type your comments. You need to sign in with your gmail id to comment. if you dont have a gmail id,  it might be difficult. i think it is mandatory as this is a google product.
